Today was spring youth service day and it was so great. We met with kids from the community who were at risk and are involved with social services, and although it was a little uncomfortable at first, everyone warmed up pretty quickly. We had about 20 kids ages between the ages of 7 and 13, all of whom were fabulous. We played trainwreck, the ultimate get-to-know-each-other game, and the kids seemed to really enjoy it. I am happy to accept the Serve America Challenge and can't wait to celebrate Global Youth Service Day!. I will be working with a group of kids ages 7-13, either on or near William and Mary's campus to teach them about leadership, friendship and service and how it applies to them!
