We know that COVID-19 has put a halt to live music for now, but stories of past sexual violence in our industry have been coming to the surface at an alarming rate during this downtime. We've received requests for help coming up with new policies, codes of conduct, and language to share in solidarity during this time.
In response, we created a Here for the Music pledge so that music industry professionals can make a public commitment to taking an active role in making the music industry safe once live music is back in full form. We're building resources so that when touring and festivals return, we can rebuild our industry in a way that is safer and more inclusive. We're excited to share those resources in the fall of 2020, and we're so thankful for all of the industry professionals who have signed the pledge so far.
